The battle of the climate

- archaeological and historical investigations of the German Wehrmacht weather stations in Northeast Greenland, 1941-1944

Jens Fog Jensen

By Jens Fog Jensen

The Project will document the present state and extent of archaeological remains of German Second World War weather stations at Sabine Ø and of the Danish scientific and military stations at Clavering Ø. Archaeological and historical evidence will be combined in order to conduct detailed reconstruction of German as well as allied activities in Northeast Greenland during the Second World War.
